Artist Emma Lindström from Sweden creates gorgeous marbled paintings. I stumbled upon her work through another blog I follow. I found her abstractions and richly colored canvas reminiscent of vast Hubble telescope images of the universe. I began thinking of Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan.
Several years ago I gave my daughter a copy of Hawking's "A Brief History of Time". When I look at Lindström's work I have an image in my mind of this book.
Lindström says, "This is my artwork. Although, I would not call it work. This is what I want to do, what I have to do in life. This is the path I found, or the path that found me, one which I’ve never been able to stray from since." ... continue reading
