We can certainly say that our love affair with Europe began more than three decades ago when Taylor immersed herself in the intimate life of Europe to study art and live an authentic life. From her first meal in an old stone restaurant in Europe to her last glass of wine in Austria before heading back to University, she was hooked. The tangible passion that permeates almost everything in Europe inspired her to continue creating and truly dedicate her life to the arts.

Europe is the unquestioned rock-star of classic, international interest in art, food and wine. Its landscape, artistic heritage and stand-out cities make artist travel workshops in Europe the ideal location for a week of learning new and varied contemporary art skills all while enjoying the local cuisine and beauty of this golden landscape. Occasionally, an experience as simple as opening the ancient window of your room can turn into a beautiful surprise. In the early evening in France last summer, for example, our workshop artists experienced a lovely thunderstorm which cleaned out a haze that had hovered all day. We opened our windows, and in the near distance glistened one of Provence’s most famous cathedrals, its stones warmed by the setting sun. Some of us positioned our chairs for the view, put our feet on the windowsill, and enjoyed one of those European moments. It was inspiration for the following day’s workshop sketches.
